PADI, originally called Fountains for Life is a 501 c3 non profit organization that aims to improve the livelihoods and wellness of Sierra Leonians.  We maintain the value of keeping the people and communities we serve first while preserving the environments we work in. PADI's operations are based in Sierra Leone with the  founding office being based in the US. We are an organization that creates sustainable and impactful solutions to outstanding problems..

Services

  • We provide comprehensive health education and career development to youth ages 1-18 across Sierra Leone.

  • In 2017, Fountains for Life partnered with Don Bosco Fambul, a nonprofit based in Sierra Leone which helps children, teenagers and young people who live in situations of high vulnerability in the streets of Freetown. During this collaboration, Fountains for Life worked directly with abused and abandoned girls to discuss allied health professions, workforce development, and sex education.

  • Our volunteers provide toys, books, clothing, and food donations. Additionally, we often conduct international health fairs where we supply hand sanitizers, water filters, and medical supplies to organizations like the Grafton Senior Center.

  • In 2023 PADI hosted the Youth Changemakers Symposium that invited youth who are passionate about development to learn, network and make impact. The event included an analysis and solution development of case studies about some of Sierra Leone’s pressing issues, a panel discussion from young Sierra Leonean professionals, and a keynote speech from Mayor of Freetown, Yvonne Aki-Sawyerr

  • PADI has collaborated to host free health clinics helping various populations get access to healthcare in partnership with health centers throughout Freetown

  • PADI donates regularly to Fambul School and other insitutions to cove school fees of students who do not have access to financial aid
